207 - NY630AM-1do R8 NGC MS63 50% Bright with very nice cartwheel luster. Struck over a Copper Nickel Flying Eagle Cent. The NGC label calls this over an 1860 Cent. On the obverse of the Cent, portions of States Of America are visible and laid out as on Flying Eagle Cents. On the reverse One Cent is visible and above is the type of wreath end used on the Flying Eagle Cents rather than a Shield or Laurel Wreath. Christoph Karl, New York 1863. Large size token that appears to have been struck without a collar, though this is likely the result of the smaller Cent sized planchet used. From the Steve Tanenbaum collection. (750-1000)
