Commemorates Admiral Vernon and Commodore Brown's 1739 victory at Porto Bello with unusual reverse showing a devil leading Robert Walpole by a chain around his neck toward the waiting jaws of a serpent. Brookgreen Gardens, between Charleston and Myrtle Beach SC, is a wonderful sculpture garden. Many famous sculptor's works are presented in a beautiful natural setting including Anna Hyatt Huntington, Laura Gardin Fraser, A. A. Weinman, Paul Manship and Richard McDermott Miller.
