Civil War token Fuld MI160B-1a R3 MS64 20% original red mint luster. Higby & Brother General Merchant Charlotte Mich. One Country Union 1863. Scarcer town and merchant. Brass tokens were often made for collectors and not meant to circulate. Charlotte and nearby Eaton Rapids are exceptions to this general rule as all ten merchants issued Brass as well as Copper tokens that come well worn. From the Steve Tenanbuam, Ed Rosen, John Canfield and Gerorge Fuld collections.  This is the Fuld Plate token.  In a NGC holder graded MS64 RB.
